About this tool
Pick an item and quality to see the daily trend of profit per building level per hour (PPHPL), shown separately for sales on the Exchange and via contracts. Values assume that materials are bought, and the item made is sold, at that day's daily volume-weighted average price (VWAP).Latest day: Nov 1 (Sun), 2026 (UTC).
Assumptions and notes
- Inputs
- If left blank, an administration overhead of 15% is used. The value you enter stays on this device and is not sent anywhere.
- Reading the chart
- The upper chart shows profit per hour; the lower chart shows selling price and cost per unit. On days when the item made had no trades, the value is missing and the line breaks. Select a legend entry to hide a line.
- Comparison by quality
- Select a quality to switch to it. Qualities with no Exchange trades during the period are not listed. The share of volume is for the last trading day.
- PPHPL
- The number one building level produces per hour, multiplied by the profit per unit (proceeds − material cost − labor cost).
- Prices
- The item made, the materials and transport all use that day's daily VWAP (Simco Tools daily bars). Materials for an item of quality Q are quality Q−1 (Q0 for Q0). If materials or transport had no trades that day, the value from the last trading day within the previous 7 days is used instead.
- Sales channel
- On the Exchange, the 4% fee is deducted and the seller pays all transport costs. For contracts, a 3% discount is applied and seller and buyer split transport costs equally. Materials are assumed to be bought on the Exchange (the seller bears transport).
- Output and labor cost
- Calculated from game constants and, for that day (12:00 UTC), the economic phase and production speed events. The administration overhead is the value entered (15% by default) and applies to labor cost only. Assumes a 3% production bonus, no robots and no executive effects. Mined items assume 95% abundance. Constants use current values for the whole period.
- Daily output and volume
- Daily output is hourly output × 24 hours (one building level). The share of volume is that figure divided by the Exchange volume of the day. The period median is the median of the shares on days with trades. Units traded outside the Exchange (contracts) are not in the volume, so treat it as a rough gauge of market size.
- Note
- For items with large transport quantities, PPHPL falls sharply when sold on the Exchange. For items with expensive materials and thin margins, PPHPL swings widely with small price moves. A different production bonus or executive effects would change the values.
- Dates and updates
- Days start at 00:00 UTC (09:00 Japan time). Weekdays are those of the UTC date. Data collected once a day is recalculated when the site is built.
- Coverage
- Magnates. Items and qualities that can be traded on the Exchange and had trades during the period. Research and Christmas trees are excluded.
